Estate Sales and Tag Sales
Get Your Price For Your Estate Property
Tag and Sell Everything Right Where It Sits
An "Upscale" Alternative To An On-Site Auction
To: Estate Executors, Administrators, and Personal Representatives:

Sometimes, an on-site auction just isn't a good fit for your Estate.  Maybe there's not enough parking; maybe it's the wrong time of year to hold an outdoor auction; maybe you want more control over how the Estate property is priced.

The Pros and Cons of Auction vs. EstateTag Sale

An Auction will sell everything down to the bare walls at the highest price the crowd is willing to pay.  But an Auction requires enough space to hold a crowd of 100 or more, plus park their cars.  To keep the crowd happy and bidding during a 4 to 6 hour Auction, food, refreshments, and bathroom facilties must be provided.  An Auction is fast-paced so that everything gets sold in the alloted time.

An Estate Tag Sale is a much slower process.  The sale is typically held over 2 or 3 days, so the crowd never gets too large to handle.  Entry into the home is limited; shoppers are given numbers and take turns entering the home.  Items are priced individually or in groups.  Prices are adjusted over the course of the sale so that nearly all of the items are sold.

My Combination Sale Offers The Best Features of Both An Auction and a Tag Sale

With other Estate Tag Sale companies, when the sale ends, you have a disposal problem: there are always items left over that no one bought.  Whatever is not bought must be donated or hauled to the dump.  You can haul these items yourself, or pay someone to do it.

Since I am a licensed Auctioneer, I close each Estate Tag Sale  by auctioning off unsold lots to the highest bidder.  When my sale ends, there is nothing left over, and consequently no disposal problem.  Estate Tag Sale companies cannot offer this service, as auctioneering requires being licensed, tested, and bonded.

My System Has Worked For Others, and Can Work For You.

My clients are happy with the results of my sales.  Here's an email from a satisfied client.  I am careful to outline the terms of my sales, as indicated in this letter of agreement.  I am also careful to maintain good relationships with the neighbors, as evidenced by the letter I hand deliver to all surrounding homes.

Email me or call me with your requirements, and we can chat about your situation.  Once I understand the scope of what must be done, we will discuss a plan of action, and move forward.  If I am unable to help you personally, I'm sure I can offer suggestions and referrals.  What have you got to lose by calling?

Or, You Can Do It Yourself

I have resources on this website to help you liquidate the Estate personal property yourself, if you have the time and inclination to do so.  You will find pricing guides and resources on my Executor Help page.

Setting Up For An Estate Tag Sale
If you'd like to get right on to selling items yourself, here's a downloadable guide written by an associate of mine from Australia (yes, they have garage sales in Australia, too).  It's $9.90 Australian money, and about $9.09 in US dollars.  You can pay safely online with a credit card.  To have a FREE look at what's in the book,
